What is DECT ?

• Digital European(Enhanced) Cordless Telecommunications (DECT).

• The first and new pan-European standard for cordless telephones.

• ETSI(European Telecommunications Standard Institute) defined standard .

(finalized in 1992).

• The first DECT products were soon announced soon after.

• In March 1993, Alcatel, Ericsson, Nokia, Philips and Siemens declared

their support for DECT.
