DECT in Comparison DECT vs. PHS

• DECT supports all the important standards and protocols of telecommunications (ISDN, LAN, X.25, X.400, GSM, etc.).

• As a result of its compatibility to GSM and to the DCS 1800 standard, DECT has a key feature to become a world standard. DECT can bridge the gap between household cordless phones and the major cellular networks. This compatibility represents a crucial prerequisite forusage within a Wireless Local Loop.

• DECT has a more efficient channel assignment scheme. While DECT makes a seamless handover possible, interruptions of up to approximately 1.5 seconds occur with PHS.
